Explore the Winston Family Library
Welcome to the Winston Family Library, a hidden gem within Har Shalom Synagogue! Our library is a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration, housing a diverse collection of over 2000 books covering a wide range of topics.
A Rich and Varied Collection
Our library boasts an extensive collection that includes history, philosophy, religious practice, fiction, biography, humor, Hebrew and Yiddish materials, cooking, crafts, music, Talmud, Mishneh, and Kabbalah. Whether you’re seeking spiritual guidance, historical insights, or a captivating novel, you’ll find it here.
Borrowing Made Easy
For our members, borrowing books from our library is a breeze. We operate on an honor system, allowing you to take out circulating books. Simply sign them out in the orange ring-binder lending registry. Our reference books are available to anyone during the open hours of the building, providing a valuable resource for research and exploration.
Donate and Contribute
We welcome book donations and recommendations to enhance our collection. If you have books you’d like to share with our community or if you have titles in mind that you believe would be valuable additions, please contact us today. Your contributions help us expand our offerings and further enrich the library’s resources.
Support the Library’s Growth
Additionally, you can support our library’s growth by perusing the duplicate-book table in Har Shalom’s lobby. Any treasures you find can be yours in exchange for a donation, which goes directly towards the library’s development.
Come and explore the Winston Family Library, where knowledge and community converge. Whether you’re here for research, leisure reading, or simply to immerse yourself in the world of Jewish literature and culture, we invite you to make the library a part of your Har Shalom experience.
