Our Community

For more than six decades, our Missoula community has been a hub for Jewish holiday celebrations, religious education, services, and community service projects. Located in Missoula, Montana, we are an inclusive and egalitarian congregation affiliated with Reform Judaism. Har Shalom proudly supports a growing, joyful Western Montana Jewish community and warmly welcomes Jews of all backgrounds, interfaith couples, and those eager to explore Jewish life.
A Place of Learning and Celebration
Har Shalom is a haven for both learning and celebration. We offer a spectrum of events and activities, including Shabbat services, Torah study, Hebrew classes, festival celebrations, bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies, and other life cycle events. All of these are thoughtfully led by our resident Rabbi Robbie Schaefer, in collaboration with dedicated community leaders.
Beyond Worship
Our community extends far beyond our religious services. We host engaging concerts, thought-provoking lectures, spirited social gatherings, and outdoor activities to strengthen our bonds and enrich our lives. Be sure to explore our Events page for more details on what’s happening in our vibrant community.
